Singer Jason Derulo managed to get involved in quite a scandal. The popular singer got himself kicked out of a plane, after an argument with the airport’s security team. The star was set to embark on a flight to Los Angeles, from Reno.
Well, Jason himself was not accused of anything. In fact, the famous singer did nothing wrong. It was his bodyguard who got into the argument with the airport’s security team and which made them decide to not allow the staff on board of the plane.
Initially, Jason was allowed to get into the plane, although his entourage was kept away. Still, some members of the singer’s crew refused to listen to the order and tried to embark the plane by force.
Following this, Jason Derulo was also escorted out the plane by the police. Well, in these circumstances it seems that the only option that the star had was to rent a private jet and get to his destination. Jason later took to Instagram to reveal the fact that he decided to fire his travel agent. “Had to fire my travel agent for booking me somewhere I wasn’t supposed to be, but now I’m here. We’re good,” the star claimed.
When it comes to the reason which led to the scandal, it was claimed that the singer’s team claimed they were treated unfairly by the airline. “His team requested an escort and were denied and they believed they were being treated unfairly,” it was claimed. “When they voiced their concerns to the airline they were told they could not fly and proceeded on the plane anyway.” Some sources said that Jason and his bodyguard were the ones who requested an escort to embark into the plane ahead of the other passengers.
Well, while some insiders claimed that Jason was finally removed from plane, as well, others claimed that the star refused to fly with the airline after the scandal and decided to arrive to his destination along with his crew.
“According to our employees, the group refused to follow boarding procedures. Initial reports indicate that several customers complained about the group’s behavior. Our crew, responsible for the safety and comfort of all customers on board, attempted to diffuse the situation; ultimately, local authorities were called and the decision was made to deny boarding to the group,” a statement from the airline said.
