Who dares to say that country music stars are boring? Jake Owen’s latest two days are proof enough that nobody leaves more intense than a country music star. Over the past few days, Jake Owen and Lacey Buchanan tied the knot on the beach, and the country music star still managed to find the time to have a chat with police officers.
This Saturday, the 30 year old Jake Owen and the 22 year old Lacey Buchanan tied the knot. The wedding ceremony was gorgeous, taking place right next to the ocean, in Vero Beach, Fla. The country music star proposed to his girlfriend model Lacey Buchanan a few weeks ago, during a benefit concert.
The proposal came as a surprise even for Jake Owen, who didn’t have an actual engagement ring on him when he asked Lacey Buchanan to marry him. He confessed that while he was starting a new song, he suddenly realized how many of his family members and friends were actually attending the charity event. So, from his point of view, it became obvious it was the right time to propose to his 22 year old girlfriend.
Jake Owen and Lacey Buchanan got married Monday morning on the beach of the singer’s home town. Both of the newlyweds were dressed to the occasion, and it was likely one of the few moments you get to see Jake out of his jeans. The very young bride wore a gown from Amsale, while Jake switched to Armani shirt and Tommy Bahama pants.
The ceremony couldn’t have been more beautiful. As the sun rose over the blue ocean, the two walked barefooted down the beach to read their vows. Jake Owen confessed to People magazine that the barefooted beach wedding was his idea. “It’s symbolic of the dawn of a new day and starting out new life together” explained the country music singer.
Before the wedding, Jake Owen even had time to have a chat with police officers with the Indian River County Sheriff’s Department. He was fouling around with a mask and attempted to accompany his friends and family into a restaurant. A police officer warned him it’s against the law to enter a business wearing a mask, but Jake disregarded the advice, and got himself in trouble. He apologized for his last blunder as a bachelor on Twitter.
