You’d think that living most of his life between paparazzi flashes, concerts and media appearances, we’d know everything there is to know about Justin Bieber. But in a GQ interview, Justin Bieber reveals more personal aspects of his life. Oh, and he talks beer and Kim Kardashian!

He is a teenage megastar, having his life meticulously displayed in magazines and newspapers. There’s literally no place for him to go around unrecognized within the United States, but there still are some facts about Justin Bieber many of his most dedicated fans don’t know. GQ sat him down for an interview and gave us a deeper insight of who Justin Bieber, the teenage mega star really is.

As he tells GQ, Justin Bieber learned a very important lesson. To stay on top of your game you always have to stay on guard and at ease from people looking to bring you down. From his point of view, the best way to do that is to never lose control. “I mean, I keep my guard up a lot, because you know, you can’t trust anyone in this business. That’s what’s sad. You can’t trust anybody. I learned the hard way” confessed Bieber.

Just recently, Forbes magazine has put Justin Bieber at No. 3 on their most powerful celebrity list. But to make it so far, Justin has had to make some sacrifices. For instance, as he told GQ, he has never lost control, unlike many teenagers and stars his age who have lost it. “For me, it’s just like, I like to be in control of myself. I mean, I’ve had a beer, like, before…But I never get out of control”.

The truth is that Justin Bieber, like many other teenage stars, had to grow up before the time. To survive in a dog-eat-dog industry, you need to keep a clean act. For the moment, all that sacrifice it was worth it. Justin Bieber made last year $55 million and has an outrageously expensive house in Calabasas, California. Plus, he gets to hang out, at least on camera, with many other high caliber stars and has a smoking hot very popular girlfriend. It looks like any teenager’s dream, doesn’t it?
