In the world of celebrities there are just a few couples that despite the obvious differences still have managed to survive the hurdles. For eight years, Heidi Klum and Seal have, somehow, dealt with the hectic star life, parents’ parts and being in love, but real life finally got to them. According to an official statement, it seems that Heidi Klum and Seal are done and currently undergoing an amicable split.
They met each other eight years ago, in 2004, when Klum was just ending terms with Flavio Briatore, an Italian businessman. She was pregnant with her daughter Leni and just one year later, Seal and Klum tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony on the beach in Mexico. Since then, the couple had three children together, Henry, Johan and Lou.
The British singer and the German model have become well known for a tradition, some may call a little bit silly. Each year, on their anniversary, the two would have renewed their vows. Two years ago, Seal explained that their tradition is “a very special moment” for them, being much more than just a great party.
“Each year, Heidi and I get remarried. It’s a great party, but for about an hour, we go off on our own down to a private beach. We sit there with the kids and read vows to each other as the sun sets”, the British singer said.
So, with this beautiful love story behind what’s causing the split? Well, according to a statement released by the two celebrities, it seems that the realities of a hectic life finally broke them. “While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate” and with these words these two have broke fans’ hearts across the world.
Heidi Klum and Seal also said: “We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart”.
However, despite going public with their breakup, US Weekly reports that the two are still together. A friend close to the couple told the publication that “nothing is finalized for sure… They’ve had a very rough road lately. They’re either madly in love or having crazy fights” .
