Us Weekly reports that the “Melrose Place” actress, Heather Locklear was hospitalized on Thursday after combining alcohol with prescription drugs. According to authorities, a call was made from the North Ranch residence of the actress and an ambulance was immediately dispatched to the respective area.
It was around 2:05 p.m. on Thursday when the fire department and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call from the Heather’s sister. When the ambulance arrived at the destination, paramedics determined that the actress needed to be hospitalized because the level of alcohol and drugs on her blood was too high. Locklear was transported to Los Robles Hospital where she is now being kept under surveillance.
The most recent public appearance of the actress took place on January 10 when Locklear attended a Los Angeles Lakers game. Her rep did not make any comments in relation to the news.
Locklear had similar problems in the past. In 2010, she completed a 30 day rehab program after being diagnosed with addiction to prescription pills. The participation to the rehab program was imposed by the local authorities after arresting the actress for a mysterious hit-and-run in April 2010. According to police reports’, a car registered to Locklear and her ex-husband Richie Sambora hit a No Parking sign near Heather’s house in a gated community in Westlake Village, CA.
Reporters were not able to find out what determined Heather to combine her prescription drugs with alcohol. The events might be related to the fact that Locklear recently broke off her engagement with Jack Wagner. The two were co-stars on the set of the “Melrose Place” and they decided to get engaged in August 2011. They became romantically involved in 2007.
Locklear was married two times before, so this would have been her third walk down the aisle. She was previously married to Tommy Lee, but their marriage ended in 1993. Later on, she said “I Do” to Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, but this relationship didn’t turn out well, either. In 2006 they decided to call it quits even though the two have a 14-year-old daughter, Ava.
