According to TMZ, Halle Berry will have to pay a yearly child support of $240,000 to her former partner Gabriel Aubry. Although the custody of the 4-year-old Nahla is still disputed, the judges decided that the actress should pay around $20,000 to the father of the child.
Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry’s separation was not as easy as everyone thought it would be. Things are difficult because the two parents fight over the custody of their 4-year-old daughter, Nahla. So far, the judges were on the Canadian’s model side because they ordered that the “New Year’s Eve” star should pay him a yearly child support of $240,000.
The ruling of the court further explained that Berry will have to pay $20,000 each month to the father of her daughter, Gabriel Aubry. The actress didn’t pay anything until now, even though Nahla is almost 4 years old.
As expected, Halle Berry was not satisfied with the judges’ decision. She told reporters that the legal battle between her and Aubry will continue. This time, however, the actress won’t be battling over child support, but rather over the custody of the child because Halle wants to take Nahla and move to Paris.
The Oscar-winning actress has a lot on her mind, lately. Apart from her custody battle, she is also busy planning her wedding with fiancé Olivier Martinez. Berry has chosen the South African city of Cape Town as the location for her wedding ceremony because this was the place where the two met during the filming of the movie “Dark Tide”. The future husband and wife will throw a reception on a private yacht in False Bay.
There are many other details that the couple has to solve before the ceremony, such as, the choice of the wedding dress. The 45-year-old actress hasn’t decided yet which designer is best for her, but it shouldn’t be a problem for her to find one considering how popular she is.
Halle Berry has been married before; as a matter of fact, she had vowed never to marry again, but Olivier’s proposal was downright irresistible. The French actor is very excited about the wedding, especially since he was never married before. Both him and Halle plan to have at least one child together.
