Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied first displayed their wedding bands at this year’s edition of the Oscars. The Jewish wedding ceremony was held on Saturday during an 8 p.m. party that took place at their private home in Big Sur, California, according to Us Weekly.    

Natalie Portman and her partner, Benjamin Millepied were the center of attention at this year’s edition of the Oscars when the two showed up wearing wedding bands. They were very discrete about their relationship, so the press didn’t obtain many details related to their wedding. Designer Jamie Wolf was more generous with the media as he confirmed everyone that the couple had indeed bought a pair of wedding bands from him. He also provided information about the materials that have been used for their creation, that is, “recycled platinum and conflict free diamonds”.

On Saturday, the couple held their Jewish wedding ceremony which took place at 8 p.m. at their luxurious residence in Big Sur, California. The ceremony was private with the participation of close friends and members of the family.

Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied fell for one another during the filming of the movie “Black Swan”. The professional choreographer had a small role in the film, but that was enough to light the romance fire between the two. In December 2010, they announced their engagement, as well as Portman’s first pregnancy. They are now parents to their 13-month old son, Aleph and the 31-year-old actress is over the moon.

During her acceptance speech in February 2011, she dedicated the Oscar to her partner, Millepied. She called him her “beautiful love” and thanked him for giving her “the most important role of [her] life [motherhood]”.

Natalie Portman hasn’t been involved in other projects since her baby was born in June 2011. The actress wanted to take some time off so she could take care of her child.
