“Game of Thrones” Additions Revealed At Comic-Con

Fans were able to find many interesting details about the future “Game of Thrones” series during the second day of the Comic-Con Festival in Sand Diego. The team hosting the presentation revealed the name of some of the actors that will join the cast, as well as other additions, says Reuters.

“Game of Thrones” was one of the many motion pictures that were presented on Friday at the Comic-Con Festival. Fans gathered around the crew representing their favorite show to hear the latest news. According to presenters, the third season of “Game of Throne” will feature many changes including the addition of new actors.

The first actress to be presented at the Comic-Con was 73-year-old Diana Rigg who was named a queen, even though she was not present at the event. The “Avengers” star was chosen by the producers of the HBO series to interpret Olenna Tyrell, that is, the Queen of Thorns.

Rigg is not the only new celebrity that will feature on the actors list in the following season. She will also be accompanied by newcomers Mackenzie Crook, the interpreter of the wildling raider Orell, Clive Russell for the part of Bryndon “Blackfish” Tully, Nathalie Emannuel as slave translator Missandei, Paul Kaye who plays the part of Thoros of Myr, Kerry Ingram as Shireen Baratheon and Tara Fitzgerald as her mother, Selyse. The modifications were well-received by the fans who were present at the Friday event as the majority of them promised to watch the new season.

The new members of the “Game of Thrones” cast could not make it to the presentation. Nevertheless, the organizers of the show tried to meet the public’s expectations by broadcasting a video of interviews with them. In addition, fans were able to bear conversations with some of their favorite actors including Richard Madden, Michelle Fairley, Alfie Allen, Emilia Clarke, Rose Leslie, as well as producer Carolyn Straus. George R.R. Martin, the author of the book that inspired the HBO series also took part in the presentation.

The new season will be filmed in various locations, such as, Ireland, Croatia, Iceland and Morocco. Unfortunately, fans will have to wait until they can get a glimpse of the new series because “Game of Thrones” season three will air on March 31, 2013.
