Everyone Is Mad About MAD Magazine’s “Twilight” Spoof

Access Hollywood offered a sneak peak of the MAD Magazine spoofed “Twilight” cover that will be released on October 23. The humorous cover features the caricaturized images of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson along with their daughter, Renesmee, whereas the content of the magazine spoofs all the five “Twilight Saga” installments.

MAD Magazine Editor in Chief John Ficarra talked to Access Hollywood about the most recent cover they have used for their November issue. Ficarra joked that he wanted to do a photo shoot with the three stars of the upcoming “Twilight” movie, but they were not available. As a result the creative team was forced to produce spoofed images of the Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and their daughter Renesmee. The werewolf was the only one who managed to make it to the photo session, the editor in chief added.

Continuing the joke, Ficarra stated that the team was forced to resort to various tactics in order to create the cover. They even forced MAD Mag’s Alfred E. Neuman to pose as Kristen and Robert’s vampire girl, Renesmee. Ficarra added that they would have loved to hire Robert Pattinson for the photo session, but their budget was too small to afford an eyebrow wrangler.  According to the editor, the two actors cancelled the work at the last minute because they realized it conflicted with their Brooding Lesson.

The issue will be out on October 23, whereas the “Breaking Dawn” protagonists and the rest of the cast will be busy promoting the upcoming installment of the “Twilight Saga”. “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” is set to hit theaters on November 16, 2012. The worldwide premiere of the much-awaited movie is scheduled to take part on November 12, 2012 at the Nokia Theater at LA LIVE.
