Ellen DeGeneres will be honored with one of America’s top humor prizes during a special event that will be held on Monday in Washington DC. Jane Lynch and John Leguizamo have joined forces with Jimmy Kimmel and Kristin Chenoweth to create a special program for the talented comedienne, says the Associated Press.

Ellen DeGeneres has been entertaining fans with her show for years and, in turn, the American actress will be honored with one of America’s biggest prize for comedy, namely, the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. The award will be handed to Ellen during a special event held in Washington DC on Monday. The show will be broadcast on PBS stations on October 30.

A-list entertainers have been selected to perform during the show, so Ellen DeGeneres could have a memorable night. Jason Mraz, John Krasinski and Sean Hayes are some of the stars that have been included in the lineup, but there are many other celebrities who will walk up the stage to honor the comedienne.
