Based on a recent report published by Us Weekly, Demi Moore left rehab on Thursday because she found a better way to recover from her depression. The actress has taken a longtime vacation in an unknown location in order to get over her recent divorce from Ashton Kutcher.
The spokespersons of the actress told the press that Demi Moore has left the Cirque Lodge facility in Sundance, Utah because she has already recovered from her drug addiction. However, the 49-year-old actress still feels the need to stay away from the media’s attention. Therefore, she took a vacation for an undetermined period of time. The spokespersons did not provide any information in relation to the location where the actress will be spending her holiday. In addition, they told reporters that Moore doesn’t wish to speak to anybody except a small group of people. “She is on total lockdown,” they added.
The “Margin Call” interpreter checked into the facility in late January after being hospitalized for health problems caused by eating disorders and addiction issues. Moore was found in a semi-conscious state after consuming an “incense-like substance” on January 23. Insiders told reporters that the actress almost lost her life, so doctors recommended her to get specialized treatment at Cirque Lodge. This facility was frequented by many celebrities with eating disorders including Lindsay Lohan and Mary-Kate Olsen.
This isn’t the first time Moore went to rehab. She experienced similar problems in 1985, but she managed to overcome them with doctors’ help. Her friends told Us Weekly reporters that the actress has already made one of the most important steps: she has acknowledged that she needs help and she is willing to recover. According to them, the methods used by the Cirque Lodge facility were not enough to help Moore get back on the track. As a consequence, she chose to customize her treatment according to her needs.
The crisis that the actress is now going through was mainly caused by last year’s divorce. After a series of cheating rumors, she decided to put an end to her marriage with Ashton Kutcher.
