Daniel Radcliffe is not really happy with the performance he managed to achieve in the movie which made him a worldwide renowned star. Actually the Harry Potter star blasted his own Harry Potter acting.
“My acting is very one-note, and I can see I got complacent,” Daniel claimed mostly referring to his performance in the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie. In fact, the star said that some of his performances in Harry Potter actually make him feel embarrassed. The truth is that Daniel Radcliffe grew as an actor in the spotlight. He actually grew along with the Harry Potter films.
“It’s hard to watch a film like Harry potter and the Half-Blood Prince because I’m just not very good in it,” the popular actor said in a recent interview. “I hate it. My acting is very one-note, and I can see I got complacent, and what I was trying to do just didn’t come across,” Daniel Radcliffe claimed during his talk with The Daily Mail.
So, what Daniel wanted to share is the fact that he is not happy at all with his performance in this movie. However, the actor has a favorite moment. He actually liked his performance in the fifth movie of the series. This is the movie released in 2007, Order of the Phoenix. The star said that he saw a progression with this particular movie.
However, this does not mean that the actor is not appreciating this entire experience. Daniel Radcliffe said that he is very thankful for his success. He said that he considers his cast in Harry Potter a blessing and an amazing opportunity to start a wonderful acting career.
Still, there is one thing that Daniel regrets: the fact that his acting development happened in front of the whole world. “But then the moments I’m not as proud of, mistakes other actors get to make in rehearsal rooms or at drama school, are all on film for everyone to see,” the star said.
Moreover, Daniel Radcliffe talked about the pressure of having to escape Harry Potter to be able to focus on his acting career and other projects.
