The “Ides of March” star George Clooney admits to having sort of a “skinny dip” passing rite at his Lake Como home in Italy, after co-star Marisa Tomei revealed some details about the “tradition” that takes place on the actor’s real estate.
If you want to see a bunch of Hollywood stars running around and swimming naked, you can just go to George Clooney’s home in Italy. It appears that it’s a small paradise for several of his fellow actors, who never miss a chance to attract others into the fantasy land of Lake Como.
On Tuesday, Marisa Tomei, who co-stars with Clooney in “Ides of March” revealed to Conan O’Brien the secrets of skinny dipping in the lake found on the estate of the actor. “We would all end up skinny dipping!” the actress says about her, Evan Rachel Wood and Charlie Rose. She also added: “Charlie Rose is hot.”
Clooney said on Wednesday that despite the tradition, he always puts a pair of shorts. “[Skinny dipping] is a tradition at my house”, the 50-year-old actor admits and at that point, where the cat was out of the bag, he revealed how he managed to keep this tradition alive: he used bait.
“First I got Walter Cronkite to jump in,” he started. “Then I got David Gergen to jump in. And I used Walter Cronkite to get Gergen to jump in. And I used Marisa and Evan in the lake to get Charlie Rose to jump in.” See? Plain and simple!
“Ides of March” will hit theaters on Friday. The cast includes, besides George Clooney and Marisa Tomei, a number of other popular actors, such as Ryan Gosling (in a lead role), Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Evan Rachel Wood and Jeffrey Wright.
