You’d think a celebrity chef would have less of a fierce attitude when it comes to admitting mistakes and talking with potential viewers. A recent video shows another side of the American cooking competition star as it links her to a car crash earlier this year. In fact, reports are confirmed that Cat Cora was arrested in DUI case last month.
Perhaps all the media coverage and pressure in the kitchen got the best of Cat Cora. One day last month she blew off steam a bit too much. A breathalyzer test showed she had twice the legal limit of alcohol in her blood, allowed by the state of California. It was then when her car crashed into the vehicle in front of her.
Back then, the celebrity chef told the police officers that arrested her she only had three beers. But during the breathalyzer test, the officers found out it was a lot more. In fact she blew a .19. The first time she blew a whopping 0.20. Officers also sent a blood sample to the Goleta Valley Hospital for investigation. And it was official, Cat Cora was arrested for DUI charges as the sample tested for 0.19.
Cat Cora released then a statement saying she wished she never drove that day. “I deeply regret my decision to drive that evening after my designated driver became unavailable” she said. “I learned a very important lesson from this experience and take full accountability for my actions. This will never happen again” reads Cat Cora’s statement.
TMZ obtained a video from the car’s driver Cat Cora hit last month. The source explained he suspected the celebrity chef had one too many and recorded her with his camera phone as evidence. The video is not quite a complement to Cat Cora’s reputation. “I’m being videotaped by two nerds who don’t wanna have…go dinner together or do something exciting with their lives” she said at the camera.
Well at least she didn’t look all that wasted when she took her mugshot. In fact it’s quite a nice picture the officers at the Santa Barbara Police Department took. This July 26th, two weeks from now, Cat Cora is scheduled for an arraignment.
