After Jennifer Lawrence choose a role in The Hunger Games and refused to involve in the project which includes a adaptation after the novel Savages, directed by the famous director Oliver Stone, the Universal studios turned their attention to other actress like Olivia Wilde, Teresa Palmer and Blake Lively.

Blake is the favorite for Ophelia`s role, the victim of the kidnap that cause the drama in the film.The young actress is a great choice for this role.
Lively also received an offer to play in the role of Glinde – Good Witch of the East in Disney production “Oz: The Great and Powerful”, but because the shooting schedules intersects,the young actress is forced to choose between the Savages and Oz.

In Oz: The Great and Powerful, James Franco will play the role of a salesman and magician, who arrives in the land of Oz with a hot air balloon. The film is a prequel of “The Wizard of Oz”.
Franco landed in the middle of a dispute between three sisters that are in a constant struggle for the control of land. Mila Kunis will be Theodora, Lively, if she will accept, will be Glinde and the role of the third sister has not been distributed yet.

As for the Savages, in this drama we will have Aaron Johnson and Taylor Kitsch in the roles of two marijuana growers in adapting of the eponymous novel written by Don Winslow. Benicio del Toro and Salma Hayek are in negotiations to play the members of a cartel who kidnaps Ophelia.
