Beyoncé’s father, Matthew Knowles, declared in a recent interview for Huffington Post that Destiny’s Child are getting ready to release two more albums. While he did not provide an exact date, the former manager explained that the collections of old songs from Destiny’s Child will be available on the market somewhere around November.
Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams plan to release two new albums in November, according to Matthew Knowles. The albums will not include new songs, but some of the greatest hits of the band and several singles that haven’t been released to the public.
Even though the three singers have agreed to release the two albums, Beyoncé’s father further stated that there won’t be a Destiny’s Child reunion anytime soon. Judging by their recent career evolution, the three interpreters seem to be doing very well as solo artists. Beyoncé has sold 27 million albums since she first started singing on her own. In addition 12 songs from her playlist have made it to Top 10 international charts. Although she is not as popular as her colleague, Kelly Rowland’s solo career was improved by her recent collaborations with David Guetta. Moreover, Kelly was elected as a judge for the UK version of “The X Factor” show.
After their separation in 2005, Michelle Williams changed her artistic orientation and became a gospel interpreter. Her voice is highly appreciated among fans of gospel music and her last album sold 32,000 copies in the United States.
Matthew Knowles was asked whether the former Destiny’s Child members plan to perform on the same stage in the following period. He responded that the girls didn’t have a tour in mind and even if they did, they would need more than a year to organize the concerts.
The declaration of the former music manager was questioned by many music industry-related people considering the scandal that Matthew Knowles was involved in 2010. He sired a son with his mistress in February 2010 even though he was still married with Tina Knowles. In addition, the “Love On Top” singer fired the music executive after she discovered that he had stolen money from her during her most recent tour.
