Us Weekly reports that Katy Perry and Robert Ackroyd have caused new rumors related to a possible relationship after they were seen together at the Capital FM Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
Katy Perry and the Florence and the Machine’s member, Robert Ackroyd, announced in May that they have decided to part ways. Nevertheless, the singer gave Robert a preferential treatment during her performance at the Capital FM Summertime Ball which was held on the Wembley Stadium. Her behavior left reporters wonder whether the relationship between the two could be more than just a simple fling.
Sources claim Katy Perry was very happy that Rob showed up at her concert. She even gave him free access backstage and the possibility to bring other five guests to the show. An insider further added that Rob and his friends stood in the pit during Perry’s performance and even sang along with the artist. They were all laughing and enjoying the show even though they didn’t know the lyrics.
This is not the first time the former couple was spotted together since their separation. The “Part of Me” interpreter was seen in Ackroyd’s company on Thursday after her “Graham Norton Show”.
The 27-year-old singer divorced British comedian, Russell Brand on December 30, 2011. In March 2012, she was spotted with Ackroyd during the Coachella Music Festival and later on, confirmed that the two were romantically involved. A month later, the two stated that they decided to part ways because they didn’t want to get involved in a longtime relationship.
Insiders claim that the two were not having a serious relationship, so they remained close friends even after the separation. They agreed to part ways because they were both very busy and needed to concentrate on their careers.
There might be another reason why Katy Perry doesn’t want to get involved in a new relationship. She told Graham Norton in a recent interview that she was deeply saddened by the divorce. The moment was all the more difficult to overcome as the singer had to perform at various concerts and pretend that she was happy.
