Apple Watch Release Date was confirmed

The release date of the Apple Watch was just confirmed by Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook. The new Apple device will be launched in April 2015. Tim Cook made the official announcement on the moment when the Apple Watch will start shipping during the company’s first quarterly results call of the year.

“Development for Apple Watch is right on schedule and we expect to begin shipping in April,” Cook claimed. “The creativity and software innovation going on around Apple Watch is incredibly exciting and we can’t wait for our customers to experience them,” Tim Cook added. However, the CEO of the tech giant made no revelations regarding the way Apple plans the release and which markets will see the brand new wearable device first.

The Apple Watch will cost $349, while the Apple Watch Sport and Apple Watch Edition are expected to cost more, although the exact amount established by the company was not revealed yet. However, it has been claimed that Apple has added a significant amount to the cost.

Apple first revealed the release of the Apple Watch back in September 2014, when the famous company also unveiled its latest generation iPhone. During the Apple Watch presentation held by Cook, Apple fans could get a clear view on what this brand new device can do. What people seem to appreciate most about this product is the fact that it will bring certain simplified apps on our wrists. This can bring amazing usability, eliminating the need to constantly take out our devices to check Facebook notifications or other apps.

It has also been claimed that the Apple Watch will feature Siri functionality, also giving users notifications regarding phone calls, when connected with an iPhone. This will make it easier to reject phone calls that should not been answered and instantly get notifications from your loved ones. Other apps that will be available in the device include iMessages, Health, Calendar, Weather, Mail, Photos, as well as Apple Pay and Apple Maps.

Developers claim that the number of apps accessible on Apple’s wearable device will continue to grow in the following period. Now, it is only left to see how Apple fans will receive this new device and how popular the Apple Watch will become.
