Black Friday deals on iPhone and iPad are some of the most sought-after discounts for consumers but retailers don’t have much of an offer for now. But that could change, since Apple promises it has Black Friday deals on products.
Apple products on sale are something all consumers wish for, since the prices aren’t exactly welcoming. For the season, experts estimate Apple will sell about 30 million iPads alone and a Black Friday shopping event could only boost sales way over that mark. iPad mini and iPhone 5 have been released just two months ago and everybody wants a piece of that.
Tuesday morning, Apple announced fans about its Black Friday discounts but hasn’t mentioned which products will be on the list. “This Friday, there’s something for everyone. Including you. Prepare your gift list: the one-day Apple shopping event is this Friday, November 23” reads Apple’s promising email.
The Apple Black Friday shopping event will be available in stores from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and if you can’t make it there’s always the online option. Apple will post the Black Friday deals after midnight Pacific Time this Friday and you can shop for the products from your smartphone. Just download the app from the App Store.
Last year’s Black Friday Apple discounts had the MacBook Air, the MacBook Pro, the iMac, and the iPad 2 on sale. People who bought the Macs last year made savings of $101, while the 16GB iPad 2 discount saved them $41. They also saved $51 on the 32GB iPad 2 and $61 on the 64GB version.
This year, Pc Mag says Apple will most likely give discounts for third-party accessories but don’t expect to save that much on “brand-new products like the mini iPad, 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display, or the iPhone 5”.
The alternatives to Apple’s Black Friday shopping event are retailers’ in-store gift cards. Target is offering a $60 gift card with every purchase of iPad 4, but the deal is available only if you’re at the store at 9 p.m. Walmart has a similar deal, offering clients a $75 gift card with the purchase of a $399 iPad 2.
