Over the past few weeks, Ann Romney got more and more media focus as her husband prepares for November’s presidential elections. In a recent statement, Mitt Romney’s wife confessed “Modern Family” was her favorite show. It didn’t take Steve Levitan long before it got Ann Romney a role in “Modern Family”.

Ann Romney has been supporting her husband every way she could during the past few months. The 63-year-old recently revealed her favorite show is “Modern Family”. But this is the kind of show that is slightly different from the GOP’s point of view on gay marriages and family. Steve Levitan announced he has a part for Ann Romney in the hit show “Modern Family”: officiant at Mitch & Cam’s wedding.

During an interview with “Entertainment Tonight”, Ann Romney revealed her favorite show is “Modern Family”.  While Ann Romney might really be into the Emmy-winning ABC comedy, Mitt Romney might have a different take on things. The GOP and Mitt Romney himself made it clear they are opponents of gay marriage.

In fact, during a campaign trail in Oklahoma City, a few months ago, Mitt Romney reiterated his take on gay marriages. “I have the same view on marriage that I had when I was governor. I believe marriage is a relationship between a man and a woman” Mitt Romney told reporters.

So it’s not a brainer the show’s creator Steve Levitan took full advantage of the moment to slap GOP in the face. The “Modern Family” creator wrote on Twitter: “Thrilled Ann Romney says ModFam is her favorite show. We’ll offer her the role of officiant at Mitch & Cam’s wedding. As soon as it’s legal”.

Obviously to accept the part in “Modern Family”, Ann Romney would have to go against everything her husband stands for. Maybe Steve Levitan should ask Michelle Obama to be officiant at Mitch and Cam’s wedding, seeing as Obama threw support in favor of gay marriage.

Ann Romney recently took a stand in favor of her husband endorsing him as president of the United States. “His name is Mitt Romney and you really should get to know him. No one will work harder. No one will care more” Ann Romney said. “No one will move heaven and earth like Mitt Romney to make this country a better place to live” she added.
