It was obviously just a matter of time before the Jolie-Pitt kids will make their acting debut. First in line is Vivienne, whom Angelia Jolie helped make her acting debut in Disney’s “Maleficent”.
Disney’s “Maleficent” brings one other reason to actually go to the theatres. Apart from the story, Angelina Jolie and Juno Temple, you’ll get too see Vivienne Jolie-Pitt make her acting debut. The youngest of the Jolie-Pitt kids will play in “Maleficent” with her mother.
Vivienne Jolie-Pitt’s acting debut is a minor role in Disney’s “Maleficent”. The little Vivienne will play young Princess Aurora, the character that eventually becomes Maleficent’s victim years later.
“Angelina Jolie’s daughter Vivienne will play a minor role as the child version of Princess Aurora opposite her mother in Maleficent” reads a statement released by Disney. “The live-action film explores the origins of Disney’s most iconic villain, Maleficent, and what led her to curse Princess Aurora” Disney added.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s youngest daughter, Vivienne, is only four years old. Her twin brother, Knox, might be next in line for his acting debut. So far, there’s no hint, the twins might begin their acting careers, but it’s likely Vivienne’s acting debut in “Maleficent” is just the start.
For Angelina Jolie, “Maleficent” is a big deal. It’s her first acting role in two years, a mega production that puts her in the spotlight and everybody will be looking for flaws in her performance. It’s a lot of pressure on Angelina Jolie, and having a familiar face around the set might be just the right thing to cut off the tension.
During the Berlin International Film Festival, Angelina Jolie said of her role in “Maleficent”: “I haven’t acted in two years, and I haven’t done anything else since this. The next thing I am looking at is a Disney movie”.
Disney’s mega production is set to hit theaters in March 2014. Directed by Robert Stromberg, the movie stars Angelina Jolie as “Maleficent”, Juno Temple as “Thistletwit”, Vivienne Jolie –Pitt and Elle Fanning as “Princess Aurora”. “Maleficent” presents the untold story of the villain in “Sleeping Beauty”, “the events that hardened her heart and drove her to curse the baby, Aurora”.
