Angelina Jolie gets ready for her stage presentation at the Oscar Awards 2012

Angelina Jolie showed up at the Hollywood and Highland Center on Friday to prepare for her stage presentation at the Oscar Awards 2012, says Us Weekly. The actress will present the nominees and the winners of the Best Adapted Screenplay on Sunday, along with Tom Cruise, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz and Tom Hanks.

Angelina Jolie has always taken her responsibilities seriously, no matter how small her part may have been. The 36-year-old actress wanted to make sure that her Oscar presentation will live up to the public’s expectations, so she came at the Hollywood and Highland Center were the final rehearsals were taking place.

Jolie even chose a sober black suit and little make-up look, so she can better concentrate on her Oscar duties. Despite this, she was very relaxed and happy to be one of the great actors that usually present categories during the Academy Awards gala. She smiled when the organizers handed her the envelope containing the list of nominees.

The “Tourist” star has all the reasons to be nervous for the Sunday gala as her husband, Brad Pitt is competing for the categories of Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role and Best Motion Picture of the Year. If his performance in the “Moneyball” gets honored by the Academy, Brad Pitt will finally receive his first Oscar. His wife already received an award in 1999 for her interpretation of Gia in “Girl, Interrupted”.

Angelina Jolie’s rehearsals didn’t stop here. She even imagined handing awards to stand-in people claiming to be the winners of the show. Stage manager Dency Nelson was very serious during the entire preparations of the ceremony. However, he found time to let Jolie know that she blew the minds of two stand-ins when she hugged them.

The actress didn’t make any comments in relation to her appearance at the event, but we assume that she will be just as glamorous as usual. Although the actress was not nominated at the Oscars this year, she is glad that her new movie “In The Land Of Blood And Honey” won a Stanley Kramer honor at the PGA Awards on January 21.
