Deadline reports that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt might team up for Ridley Scott’s new movie “The Counselor”. The famous couple will be accompanied by other important Hollywood names, such as, Michael Fassbender and Javier Bardem.
It’s been a while since we’ve last seen Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt co-starring in the same movie. The couple delighted people all over the world in 2004 with their out of the ordinary romantic comedy “Mr. & Mrs. Smith”, so it was about time they took part in another film. Director Ridley Scott initially declared that he wanted to produce his new movie “The Counselor” with Javier Bardem, but in the end, decided that he can use both actors and put Angelina Jolie in the female leading role.
Although nothing has been decided yet, there are many chances for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to accept the parts. The production of the film is due to start in June and it will be entirely filmed in Europe. The family-friendly production of the movie is one reason why the two parents might agree to film together. In a previous interview, the 36-year-old actress told reporters that they prefer to accept alternated projects, so their children would never be alone. Thanks to the convenient location of “The Counselor” – Europe – the couple could also keep an eye on their six children while filming because they live in the south of France.
No other details have been released in relation to the movie, except for the fact that it will be distributed by Fox. The storyline was written by Cormac McCarthy, whereas the producers of the film are Nick Wechsler and Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz. “The Counselor” tells the story of a well reputed lawyer (Michael Fassbender) who gets involved in a drug business.
Unlike the 2004 “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” production, Scott’s project may not involve passionate scenes between Jolie and her 48-year-old real life partner. After becoming a mother of six, the actress declared that she no longer wants to shoot nude scenes and accepted various parts in movies for children.
