While the entire show industry is waiting for the newly engaged couple to announce their wedding date, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt declare that they did not choose a date for their wedding ceremony. According to a recent report published by Us Weekly, the two are not in a hurry to make their relationship official because they don’t think it is necessary.
It took a long time for Jolie and Pitt to take their relationship to the next level and announce their engagement. Yet, it seems that they will need even more time to tie the knot as the couple declared in a recent interview that they did not decide the wedding day. Furthermore, they don’t plan to organize the ceremony anytime soon because they think their relationship is perfect just the way it is.
The announcement was made during a press conference at the Cannes Film Festival. The actor was promoting his movie “Killing Them Softly” and reporters wanted to know more about his love life. Pitt reminded everyone that he once promised that he and Angelina Jolie won’t get married unless all people have the right to walk down the aisle, irrespective of their sexual orientation. The actor stated on Tuesday that he hopes “marriage equality” will be accepted in all states before he ties the knot.
The 48-year-old star further revealed that it was Maddox, his eldest son, who encouraged him to pop the question. Brad listened to him because he thinks the kids need more stability in their lives. According to the “Moneyball” star, the children are forced to travel a lot because of their parents’ jobs, so the couple thought marriage would give them a better understanding of the family concept.
Angelina Jolie did not accompany his husband-to-be at this year’s edition of the Cannes Film Festival. She went to the M.I.A instead because she wanted to make preparations for her new movie. The actress is set to start filming for her new project, “Maleficent”, this summer. Brad Pitt did not rule out the possibility of starring in a new movie with his fiancé, when reporters asked him about it.
