“Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” Gets A Sequel

During a recent interview with Conan O’Brien, Will Ferrell has communicated that he plans to make a sequel for his 2004 movie “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy”. The famous actor did not miss the chance to make fun of his host and to shock people in the audience with his sexual innuendoes.

Will Ferrell showed up dressed as his famous character Ron Burgundy in the movie “Anchorman” during Conan O’Brien’s show on Wednesday. Apparently, the disguise was necessary because the actor was planning to announce the sequel of his production “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy”. No other information has been disclosed as the announcement was made when Ferrell was making his exit from the show. All he declared was that Mountain Time and Paramount Pictures have agreed to produce a sequel to the 2004 movie.

Previous to his statement, Ferrell made several comments in relation to Conan’s appearance. He told the TV host that he looked awful, more precisely, like a skeleton wearing a “bright red fright wig”. Ferrell further advised Conan to fire his hair, make-up and wardrobe staff and resort to plastic surgery, instead. In fact, he even suggested Conan to completely reconstruct his face in order to look better. When the TV host started showing his embarrassment, Ferrell replied that he was actually trying to be nice.

The audience had a very good response to the previously described scene which proves that people would welcome a sequel to “Anchorman”. Despite his sarcastic remarks related to Conan’s looks, Ferrell confessed that he considers O’Brien and Andy Richter to be “outstanding broadcasters”.

Will Ferrell concluded his televised interview by interpreting a song on his flute like he did when he first appeared on the show. Many questions were left unanswered in relation to the sequel that the actor is now preparing, such as, who will be the actors that will play in the movie? Will the action take place in the contemporary world or in the 70s? Paramount has only confirmed that Steve Carell and Paul Rudd will take part in the sequel, whereas the movie will be co-written by Ferrell and Adam McKay who is also the director of the film.
