For the past few days, “American Idol” runner up Jessica Sanchez has been rumored to start her acting career. But American Idol’s Jessica Sanchez said she is busy with the summer tour, not “Glee” or “Miss Saigon”.

The 16-year-old singer has been said to join the cast of the successful TV show “Glee”. Another report linked Jessica Sanchez to getting the lead role in “Miss Saigon” an adaptation of the musical. But the “American Idol” contestant told ABC-CBN North America News Bureau in a recent interview, her schedule is busy with a summer concert tour.

Jessica Sanchez’ interview wasn’t exactly a denial of the rumors about her debut in acting. It’s what she didn’t say that makes it all the more thrilling. Of the reports about her acting in “Glee” and “Miss Saigon” Sanchez said: “There are definitely things happening on the side for me. But I can’t confirm anything at all”.

The 16-year-old “American Idol” runner up has joined the Fox’s 11th season contestants on the 2012 American Idols Live!. And as Jessica Sanchez confessed, that keeps her pretty busy. No wonder about it, as she recently confirmed she was dating fellow “American Idol” star DeAndre Brackensick.

“I got a secret and I want you guys to guess. I’ll nod if it’s no or yes” said Sanchez last Thursday. Eventually the fans asked the right question and Sanchez confirmed she is dating 17-year-old San Jose singer. “He’s my boyfriend. Love you guys. Byeeee!” said Sanchez.

DeAndre Brackensick confirmed their romance on Twitter. “Me and Jessica are officially dating? Yes jessice is my girlfriend?” reads his tweet.

But to get back to Jessica Sanchez’ interview with ABC-CBN North America News Bureau. The singer talked about her relationship with DeAndre Brackensick. “I don’t look at it as a serious thing. I can’t say that we’re going to get married. It’s just kind of a thing that’s going on. I mean we both like each other a lot” she confessed.

Jessica Sanchez is without a doubt a rising star. While upcoming projects are for the most part under the key, Sanchez gave some hints about a debut album with Interscope Records. “I’ve just been doing the tour and I’ve been recording for my upcoming album, which is coming out in November, so it’s been a really busy time” the 16-year-old said.
