Alex Pettyfer Reveals Why He Did not Return to Magic Mike Sequel

Although he was featured in the first Magic Mike, Alex Pettyfer did not make an appearance for the sequel of this movie. Well, now Alex revealed the reason why this happened. The popular actor claimed that his co-star, Channing Tatum, did not like him.

So, Alex decided to answer the question why he did not return to Magic Mike XXL for fans who had been wondering which reasons he had to be missing. The revelation was made during an interview with Bret Easton Ellis. Alex said that he did not get along well with Channing, but revealed that the star was not the one to blame for their feud.

In fact, Alex took all the blame for what happened, saying that it was all his fault. “Because Channing Tatum does not like me – and for many reasons [and] many being my own fault,” he claimed. The actor went on to explain that he actually created quite a bad reputation for himself on the set of the first movie and thus, there is no wonder that people did not like him. He claimed that he acted this way because of his insecurities.

“I was scared to speak,” the actor said during his interview. “I actually did my work and I sat in the corner and listened to music because I had been told anything I did was wrong by my reps,” he claimed. “I was very insecure as a human being. That also gave me a bad rep because everyone was like, ‘Alex doesn’t speak because he thinks he’s better than everyone else,'” the popular actor explained.

Alex went on to add that he never thought that, but this is the impression he left on the set, even though in reality he was only nervous and scared. Even more so, Alex failed to pay rent to one of Tatum’s friends, although he stayed in his apartment with his fiancée. Alex claimed that one of his cousins suddenly passed away and he was dealing with “family trauma” at that time. This is why, he just forgot to pay the rent.
