Rolling Stone reports that the beloved rock band, Aerosmith, has just released the dates for their ‘Global Warming’ tour which is due to start on June 16th in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Fans will be able to see the band perform in some of the main cities in North America until August 8, the date of the last show which will be held in Tahoma, Washington.
Despite their age, Aerosmith members feel younger than ever. This is why they decided to start a new tour called ‘Global Warming’ in North America, two years after their major tour in Europe. Despite the recent health and tooth issues that frontman Steven Tyler has had, the band is determined to show everyone that they can still throw massive shows on stage. Tyler even declared that the 2012 performances will be full of vengeance because the band wants to “kick ass”.
The last time the band was on the road in America was in the summer of 2010. Last year, Aerosmith had a great time touring in Japan and South America, so they didn’t want the show to stop. Bassist Tom Hamilton declared that the band wanted to bring all the positive energy back to their fans in North America. He further stated that their repertoires for the ‘Global Warming’ tour include some of the classic Aerosmith ballads, but also some new hits that the artists have recently recorded. Hamilton was very excited to perform in Minneapolis.
Aerosmith has prepared many other surprises for their fans this year. The band has worked a lot lately with producer Jack Douglas to release a new LP at the beginning of May. Steven Tyler will continue his work as judge for the “American Idol” even though some of his band mates were not happy about it.
Joe Perry declared in an interview last year that he doesn’t want Tyler’s name to be related to such a show. Meanwhile, the artist might have changed his opinion because he had a brief appearance at “American Idol” last week to sing “Happy Birthday” to Tyler. In addition, Aerosmith’s new single will most likely make its debut on the show.
