Adam Levine declared in a recent interview for GQ’s December issue that he is not a fan of Honey Boo Boo, the protagonist of the reality TV series “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo”. While many celebrities love 7-year-old Alana Thompson, the Maroon 5 frontman described her as “the decay of the Western civilization”.

In case you thought shows like “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” were moronic, you’ll be happy to hear that you are not the only one who shares this opinion. Singer Adam Levine is among the show’s fiercest opponents because he abhors the values presented therein.

The Maroon 5 frontman expressed his opinion about the reality TV series in an interview with reporters at GQ magazine. According to him, “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” is the “decay of the Western civilization” even though the show registers around 2.3 million viewers per episode. Ratings, however, are not important for Levine. In his opinion, there is no connection whatsoever between the number of people who watch the show and the value of the show. “So many people witness atrocities and can’t take their eyes away from them, but that doesn’t mean they’re good,” he explained.

The more the interpreter spoke about the reality TV series, the angrier he became. He told reporters there is no other show that can exceed the level of stupidity which is usually illustrated in the series. It is not Alana Thompson who makes Adam hate the show, but rather her parents who treat their children in the “most despicable way”. “The Voice” judge was forced to apologize to the reporters and the readers of the GQ magazine as he could not refrain from cussing the protagonists of the show.

Adam is not the only star who bears a grudge against Honey Boo Boo. The young beauty queen was severely criticized by “The View’s”, Joy Behar, who foresaw that Alana was going to become a “big fat woman” and her name will change from Honey Boo Boo to “Honey Boobs Boobs”.
