Zvox SoundBase 350, affordable sound base

The world of technology is evolving rapidly and companies have to make serious efforts nowadays to gain the spotlight and the public’s interest. Zvox Company has invented the sound base concept, a platform-base speaker where TV sits on, in 2003, but unfortunately it has been eclipsed by many other famous brands, like Sony and Pioneer.

However, this doesn’t mean that the new Soundbase 350 is considered to be a bad product, not at all. This new budget performer is quite impressive and sounds decent. The new Zvox Soundbase 350 comes with Bluetooth streaming for added convenience and has the price of 249 dollars.  While Sony and Pioneer came up with models that feature better performers, the Zvox’s device appeals to budget-conscious buyers, who are opting for a mid-range soundbase that sounds decent and has a lower price. As for design, the Soundbase 350 is pretty small, featuring only two feet. This device can support TVs no larger than 42 inches and no more than 50 pounds.

Zvox Soundbase 350 comes with the same design that the company used for decades. It features a black and rectangular box and a little tab on the bottom right-hand side. This tab homes the minimalist controls, like volume +/-, power and input. On the top of this tab it is located an orange four-character display that activates only when the remote is in use. As for the remote, it homes only the necessary keys, for example buttons for Output Leveling mode and Accuvoice. On the bottom of the remote are placed the volume control and mute button.

To be mentioned that this entry-level sound base also comes with some interesting features, like Bluetooth wireless connectivity and aptX technology. This system can decode Dolby Digital soundtracks and is designed to hook up to TV with an optical digital cable. In addition to Bluetooth, this sound base also comes with a coaxial digital input, an optical digital input and two analog audio inputs.

The Zvox Soundbase 350 sounds very good, especially during movies or concerts. This system is perfect for people who want to enjoy a movie accompanied by a decent sound.
