Oftentimes, celebrities and marriage don’t go that good together, as most of the newly-weds end up broken in no time. There are so many reasons at hand, that wasting time explaining them simply doesn’t pay out. However, one of the celebrities that had a really bad luck in marriages might be tying the knot once again. Rumors say that Halle Berry is going to marry her French boyfriend Olivier Martinez.
According to US Weekly, the 45 year old hottie Halle Berry is thinking to tie the knot for the third time, maybe this time she will have better luck. The actress is said to be now engaged to the French film actor Olivier Martinez.
The publication writes that Olivier Martinez has proposed to Halle over the holidays. People.com reports that according to a rep for jewelry designer Gurhan, Martinez proposed to Halle with a diamond and emerald ring. We’re talking about a “one of a kind” piece. If that’s true, then these two love birds will join the other celebrities who had the same idea, perhaps inspired by the holiday cheer.
With all the celebs that decided it is time to take their relationships to the next level, 2012 will be a true wedding marathon. Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, Johnny Weir and Victor Voronov, Michael Jordan and Yvette Prieto are just a few of the stars who got engaged over the Christmas holiday.
Olivier Martinez and Halle Berry met in 2010, when they costarred in John Stockwell’s “Dark Tide”, where they played the roles of Jeff and Kate, a happy couple that will soon enter a horrific tale of struggling to stay alive after encountering a great white shark. Soon after the movie was released, the two actors became an item off-screen too.
For Halle Berry, the marriage with Olivier Martinez will be her third. She has previously been married with baseball player David Justice in the ‘90s and then, several years later, to singer Eric Benét. The actress has a 3-year-old daughter, Nahla, with ex-boyfriend Gabrel Aubry.
But, despite the hardships of the past, a pal of Halle told US Weekly: “she had given up on being married, but she trusts Olivier. He makes her feel safe. He’s a keeper!”
