Wayne Newton’s Casa de Shenandoah Open to All

Wayne Newton’s Casa de Shenandoah, also known as his Sin City estate, is almost done. After an year of continuous efforts, the mansion will become a tourist destination open to all.

Next month will start with the promotional tour of the property followed at the beginning of next year by the actual public open tours. The visitors will have the opportunity to revise Newton’s collection of antiques and celebrity mementos, which include unique attractions, such as a glass touched by Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole’s watch or one of Johnny Cash’s guitars.

Even though the singer is very excited about the project and can’t wait to receive his first visitors, the launch of the tourist center is received with skepticism by the public. The actual reasons for this reaction derive from the dubious authenticity of some of the exhibits as well as Newton’s recent financial difficulties which might make for a more plausible motive for the project than his altruistic nature.

His financial troubles started with the loss of two trials in the past few years. He lost half a million in favor of his former pilot, in a law suit he lost this year. Furthermore, he owes money to a newspaper that sues everyone who quotes their pieces online, to creditors for not paying off a multi-million loan, and to different other organizations for not paying for his horses food, not paying off his Caddy and for allowing his plane to get moldy on an airport in Detroit.

Inside sources revealed Newton’s dislike with having people talk in his presence of bills and creditors and his habit of spending money like the world was coming to an end. “It was made clear that his job was to perform, smile at fans and then go home and go to bed. I’m guessing that even today he doesn’t know half of what he owes or to whom”.
