Vince Vaughn to star in True Detective

Vince Vaughn might be starring in True Detective, new reports indicate. It seems that the famous actor is currently under negotiations with the producers of the series of a role. The Wrap reported that the Hollywood star has been approached for the main role in the famous series. 

The same reports indicate that Colin Farrell and Taylor Kitsch also have main parts in the new series. It seems that what producers are willing to do is to compensate for the amazing performance of Matthew McConaughey as Rust Cohle, and this is why they are looking for a collaboration with these fine actors. 

Well, these are just rumors for now, as HBO made no comments regarding the casting rumors. They might be willing to surprise the fans of the famous series. The show is set to return soon for its second season, so we will soon find out what producers have prepared for the fans. The need to cast someone new in the series came after Matthew McConaughey’s announcement that he will no longer be able to be part of the show.

Reports reveal that Colin Farrell, Taylor Kitsch and Vince Vaughn, are all in discussions for the main roles. Apparently, the fourth lead role will be to a female actress. Reports reveal that Elisabeth Moss might be getting this role in the hit crime drama. Some other famous names have been mentioned when it comes to the cast, including Brad Pitt, but it is yet to see what will happen. 

The first season of True Detective actually turned out being a surprise for everyone, mostly when it comes to the cast. The series featured Matthew McConaughey, but also Woody Harrelson. At the time when he accepted this role, Matthew was trying to make a comeback in his acting career. Matthew’s performance in True Detective has been without a doubt spectacular. This is why the expectations are huge. The series became a hit project, so there is no wonder it was renewed for a second season.

The creator of the series, Nic Pizzolatoo said that season 2 will be about “hard women, bad men and the secret occult history of the United States transportation system… I need to keep being strange.”
