Popular actor Stephen Collins, best known for his role on the 7th Heaven, is currently under investigation and things are not looking great for him. Apparently, a woman just confessed that the star exposed himself to her in the early 1980s.
Los Angeles sheriff’s detective confirmed that the woman opened out about her trauma. Apparently, the victim was only 13 years old when it all happened. She claimed that the actor exposed to her in West Hollywood, California, back in 1983. The investigation on the case continues for officers to find out if the woman was annoyed or molested as a child. Until now, the actor has not been charged.
Reports reveal that the victim decided to talk about what happened to her about two days after the investigation against the actor started. Allegations regarded the fact that the Hollywood star had molested a family acquaintance in the early 1970s. The star’s former wife accused the actor for the first time.
The allegations are included in the divorce court filings of Faye Grant, who wants to separate from her husband. Actually, Collins filed for divorce from his wife back in 2012. Faye Grant claims that her husband had in fact molested at least three young girls. She said that the actor made these statements during a therapy session.
These allegations are very serious and they can turn out having many consequences on the actor. In fact, there already are certain consequences that Stephen Collins is suffering. Two networks decided to cancel scheduling the show 7th Heaven. Moreover, producers of Ted 2 and Scandal decided to drop the collaboration with the famous actor.
There are no official statements made by the famous actor so far. In fact, the star’s lawyer only claimed that the accusations are an attempt from Faye Grant to obtain a favorable settlement in the divorce. However, in this statement, the lawyer does not deny the molestation allegations, which is without a doubt curious. He only focuses on saying that Grant wants to attack her former husband.
Until now, no charges have been filed, as the investigation still continues. So, it is yet to see if the allegations are true or not.
