It seems that things don’t look better for popular singer Usher. The star is set to face a new lawsuit, after previous accusations of infecting two women with a sexually transmitted disease. The new lawsuit was filed by a man and two women.
According to the three people who sued Usher, the famous singer exposed them to herpes a couple of years ago. This is not the first time when such allegations emerged. Allegedly, two other women previously filed lawsuits against the star. The three new plaintiffs are represented by Lisa Bloom, who stated that she will file the lawsuit next week, on Monday. Only one of the plaintiffs is said to be willing to reveal her identity, while the other two allegedly decided to remain anonymous.
“Several women have reached out to me in the last week, claiming that Usher had unprotected sex with them since his 2009 herpes diagnosis,” the lawyer said according to Hollywood Life. “They say that he did not disclose his STD to them. Such behavior would be appalling, illegal and dangerous to women’s health,” the same statement added.
The first lawsuit on these allegations against Usher emerged years back. Meanwhile, the case has also been settled.
The settlement only surfaced a few weeks ago, being claimed that the Yeah singer paid no less than 1.1 million dollars to end the claims. This lawsuit was filed by a former life partner of Usher, who said that the star knowingly exposed her to herpes. The lawsuit indicated that Usher got an official diagnosis from his doctors, but he still had unprotected sex with her.
Now, other individuals seem to say that they also had unprotected sex with Usher and were exposed to the disease. The second lawsuit was filed by a woman in Atlanta. She said she had unprotected sex with the singer and then she was diagnosed with STD. She is seeking 20 million dollars in damages for negligence, battery and emotional distress.
