Chances are most of you have been smitten with Bradley Cooper long before the Hangover series made him worldwide popular. Now, there’s a golden rule for women smitten with men older than 25: run the other way if they’re still living with their moms. I’m having mixed feelings about this one, though, is it a turn-off or is it just sweet? Bradley Cooper, 28, is still living with his mom.
In an interview for the May issue of Details magazine, Bradley Cooper, the 38-year-old Hangover star, talked about his life today. Little did we know he was going to reveal such an intimate part of his personal life, but opening up about his dad’s death of cancer in 2011 and his time dealing with that and helping his mother get back on her feet, did make him all the more irresistible.
“Let’s face it: It’s probably not easy for her, by the way, to be living with her son. It’s life. And right now, two years after my father’s death, this is where we are” reads Bradley Cooper’s interview in Details. “My family is very close, and my dad dying was brutal for all of us. It was a schism, and its aftershock has not stopped. And we need each other” the actor adds.
Unlike most men around his age, living in their mom’s basements, there’s one thing that helps saves Bradley Cooper’s reputation: he’s only still living with his mom to comfort her following his dad’s death in 2011. And as we’d expect it to be, having your son/mom as your roommate is not without complications, regardless of the age difference.
“So here we are but don’t get me wrong. It’s not without complications. It’s not like I live in a compound and she’s in the guesthouse. No. She’s in the next room” Bradley Cooper confesses about living under the same roof with his mom. Anyway, like every kid knows, there’s something great about getting to know your mom, long after you’ve left the nest and she’s had the time to get back to her life. “But here’s the thing: She’s a cool chick. We can hang, and she can roll with the punches. It that wasn’t the case, there’s no way” the 38-year-old actor concludes.
