This weekend is without any doubt one of the busiest when it comes to party schedules. There’s really so much to do, so many concerts, plays, all sort of events and parties to attend that it is difficult to pick just one. But since it’s impossible to be in two places at the same time, maybe it’s time to start looking for the top suggestions for the New Year’s Eve parties.

Whether you already made plans or simply thought of spending New Year’s Eve in front of your TV it still is a great idea to know what’s going on in your own city. If you’re looking for a more glamorous party, then one of the numerous club events will surely sound like a good choice. In downtown L.A. you can celebrate the New Year on the rooftop dancing on music by Xo Chic and Droog at The Standard. Geisha House, Red Room, Egyptian Theatre courtyard, ecco, Playhouse after Hours and the Las Palmas Block Party joined forces and offer people that buy tickets the option to skip lines in front of the club by taking a place on the VIP list.

However, if you’d rather enjoy the night in front of the TV with a good show, then you’d better know what’s good ahead of time. ABC is featuring Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2012, NBC runs New Year’s Eve with Carlson Daly and Fox got comic Rodney Carrington and “Pawn Stars'” Rick Harrison and Austin “Chumlee” Russell to co-host their own party.
