Fluance is known as a company that delivers excellent performing speakers for affordable prices. The new Fluance Fi50 is available at the price of 200 dollars and it is the company’s second wireless Bluetooth speaker.
Like its predecessor, the Fluance Fi50 is probably the best sound wireless speaker that customers could buy at this amount of money. Being so big, this speaker also has some down sides, for example it has to be plugged into a power outlet, meaning that it doesn’t run with an internal rechargeable battery.
The new Fluance Fi50 looks similar to its predecessor, featuring the same medium-density fiberboard cabinet. This speaker is also available in three different color options and it’s heftier and bigger than the Fi30, featuring 13.4 pounds. To be mentioned that Fi50 doesn’t come with a handle, meaning that it will be harder to move around from a room to another.
However, the new speaker comes with a LED display and has better drivers and tweeters, a much larger 40-watt amplifier and an equalizer that lets users adjust bass and treble via the touch controls located on top of the speaker. These touch controls can also be used as volume up/down buttons. If the LED display will bother someone during its night sleep, it can be dimmed or completely turned off.
As for design, Fluance Fi50 has a retro design, which probably will not appeal to everyone. This speaker is available in black ash color, but it can also be bought in white or bamboo version. Users will find on the back of the speaker an audio input for connecting non-Bluetooth devices, a physical power switch and a USB input for charging tablets or smartphones. To be added that this speaker uses the older Bluetooth 2.1 standard, but offers AptX streaming for devices that support this.
The new Fluance Fi50 is probably three times bigger than every other portable Bluetooth speaker on the market. Moreover, this speaker also has a powerful amplifier that can be used for a decent party. Fluance Fi50 delivers a rich and powerful sound.
