Probably, most of the quadcopters with cameras that can be found on the market are considered to be toys. Well, that is probably right, but the new DJI Inspire 1 is certainly not a toy.
This incredible drone was designed for professionals and it is available at the price of 2,900 dollars. This is not a cheap price at all, meaning that not everyone will afford to buy one of these. Moreover, the DJI Inspire 1’s price is probably its main flaw.
However, DJI Inspire 1 can be easily compared with the Phantom 3 Professional, because they share the same camera specs and features.
Both of these two incredible drones come with the same capture at resolution, going up to 4K at 30fps and 1,080 at 60fps. This is also probably the main point why the price is so high. However, there are also some significant differences between DJI Inspire 1 and Phantom 3. For starters, the Phantom 3 can’t be easily be upgraded or repaired, while the DJI Inspire 1’s gimbal and camera can be easily removed by releasing a lock and twisting it off. This feature can make travelling safer and several upgrades are possible for different or better cameras.
To be added the gimbal can also rotate the camera 360 degrees and tilt it 125 degrees. This means that users will not have to move the quadcopter around to get the perfect shot, they just need to move the camera. Moreover, placed to the back of the gimbal, users can find the DJi’s Vision Positioning System. These are a set of sensors to help the drone hover when GPS isn’t available. Moreover, the controller and the mobile app, called “Pilot,” are very important. The controller comes with DJI’s Lightbridge technology for greater video transmission between the ground and the sky at distances up to 1.3 miles away.
On each of the top corners of the drone, users will find discrete camera controls for starting and stopping recordings, reviewing their shots, taking pictures and also two wheels, one for gimbal’s tilt and one for adjusting exposure compensation, ISO and shutter speed.
