Many celebrity deaths have been hit by the Curse of 27: among the singers and actors who died at the young age of 27, there is Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Brian Jones, Kurt Cobain and the latest, Amy Winehouse.
Jazz-rock diva Amy Winehouse has joined the tragic list of the Curse of 27. She died this weekend at her home in Northern London. The police reports do not have a cause of death cleared out yet, but the speculations say it might have to do with a drug overdose. Winehouse was known for her erratic behavior which included drug and alcohol abuse, eating disorders and violence. Her sudden death reminded of a long line of famous artists who disappeared from this world at the same young age. They are known under the name of Club 27, also named the Forever 27, which gathers all the influential music artists who died at that age.
