According to the Us Magazine, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice says that she did not trash co-star and friend Caroline Manzo in her cookbook and adds that the real reason for the tantrum of Manzo is that she is jealous of her and her success with the book.
Teresa Giudice’s latest cookbook, called Fabulicious, reached the bestseller list of New York Times and that, according to her, triggered a lot of envy from her sister-in-law, Caroline Manzo. Giudice, 39, says that in the beginning of her writing project, Manzo , 50, also had a similar project and would criticize all her work. “Caroline told me I was doing it wrong, that I wasn’t smart enough, that I didn’t have the right agent, the right co-writer, the right anything”, she explains. Despite the heavy criticism, she says that she went on her own way and succeeded. “My book got picked up. Caroline’s didn’t. Not one publisher wanted it.”
Now, Teresa Giudice’s book is out there for everyone to read and Manzo seems to have a problem with that. But it is not because Giudice’s success. Manzo was irritated by the fact that Giudice had made fun of her and her Italian origin in the book. In the introduction, the book says that Caroline Manzo “is as Italian as the Olive Garden”. Teresa adds that she is “a huge fan of Caroline Manzo, even if she is only one-sixteenth Italian, or whatever she is”. But the thing that infuriated Manzo the most was the fact that Giudice picked on her son Chris’ business.
Teresa Giudice replies that those were only little jokes to spice up the book and that, in fact, she loves Caroline. Otherwise she wouldn’t have put a big beautiful picture of her in the book. She adds that the reason Manzo is upset with the book is actually because she is jealous.
