Associated Press announces that country music princess Taylor Swift had to postpone a concert due to an illness. This is the first time in her career that she could not show up at one of her concerts.
Blonde country pop singer Taylor Swift is known for her devotion to her fans and for her music career. However, sometimes, you have to choose what’s best for you and not what is expected from you.
It was the case of the singer who postponed the concert at the Yum Center in Louisville on doctor’s orders. The reports specified that the cause of the postponement is an illness but it was not specified what kind. The tickets for the concert were sold out.
She was very disappointed she could not make it to the concert and she posted a message on her Twitter page telling her fans and followers that she is very sorry: “This is my first time having to do this. I’m so, so sorry.”
In less than half an hour, the fans posted countless messages saying “get well soon” and other best wishes. The responses were so many that they were among the most popular searches on Twitter for the day.
The show will be postponed for a pretty long time – until October 11. Swift is due for a short break before she would get back on the road in Charlotte, N.C., on Friday in order to support her multi-platinum “Speak Now” album. The Speak Now World Tour in the second concert tour of the singer and it includes visits to North America, Europe and Asia. Swift has 7 shows in Asia, 12 shows in Europe and up to 80 shows in North America. It is a tour that broke a series of records in terms of ticket sales. In started February 9, 2011 and was scheduled to end November 22, 2011.
