It seems that famous singer Sinead O’Connor is dealing with some serious issues. The star is said to be safe now, after she attempted to kill herself. Sinead shared a troubling suicide message on Facebook, saying that she had taken an overdose.
“There is only so much any woman can be expected to bear,” her social media post said. “I’ve taken an overdose. There is no other way to get respect,” it added. “I am not at home, I’m at a hotel, somewhere in Ireland, under another name. If I wasn’t posting this, my kids and family wouldn’t even find out,” Sinead concluded.
It remains unknown exactly what happened, but it has been revealed that Sinead was found safe by the police, being now under medical assistance. Furthermore, if the post was really shared by Sinead is also not confirmed. Only a day before, another post on her social media page revealed that the star was planning on quitting music. She actually blamed music for her problems and said that she needed a new life, one away from the music industry.
“I need a new home. And a new job. A new life,” her post said. “Music is over for me. Music did this.” “It rendered me invisible,” the singer added. “Murdered my soul. I’m never going back to music,” she concluded.
Well, if Sinead tried to commit suicide, this would not be something completely shocking, as the star has confessed dealing with similar issues in the past. During an interview back in 2007, Sinead confessed that she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. She said that she attempted suicide at the age of 33. Back in 2012, Sinead shared another concerning message on social media. She claimed that she was in danger and was felling unwell.
In July 2015, Sinead revealed that she canceled all the concerts she had scheduled for this year to be able to care for her child, who was diagnosed with a “life-threatening illness.” The singer did not reveal what illness she was referring to. Sinead also underwent hysterectomy back in August. Hopefully, the star is doing well now.
