Based on a recent report published by the Associated Press, American singer Sheryl Crow was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor. The Grammy-winning songwriter performed a medical checkup because she was worried about her memory loss and doctors told her that she has a brain tumor.
Diseases know no sociological or financial boundaries; therefore, celebrities are often confronted with health issues, too. Sheryl Crow, for instance, announced on Tuesday that doctors have recently diagnosed her with a benign brain tumor. The singer did not provide other details as to whether she will observe a medical treatment or not; she seemed rather relieved that the tumor was benign.
According to Crow’s declarations, doctors gave her the news after a medical checkup. The Grammy-winning artist went to hospital in November because she was having frequent memory losses. She was subject to an MRI scan where doctors noticed that there is an outgrowth on her brain. Further analyses have proven that the tumor is benign and now, the artist can breathe easily.
The interpreter of “A Change Would Do You Good” knew there was something wrong with her because she was constantly forgetting the lyrics of her songs. The last time it happened was during a concert in Florida, last month. The singer was supposed to sing “Soak Up The Sun”, but she couldn’t remember the first verse of the single. She apologized to the public saying that she is 50 and these things come with aging.
This was not the first time she forgot the lyrics. Sheryl told reporters that she was supposed to interpret “A Change Would Do You Good” during a concert in the 90s, but she messed up all the verses. Both she and her guitar player could hardly refrain from bursting into laughter.
Back in 2006, Sheryl Crow was diagnosed with breast cancer, but she survived it. Her former fiancé, cyclist Lance Armstrong, also survived testicular cancer before winning the Tour de France seven times consecutively. They started dating in 2003 and got engaged in 2005. A year later, they decided to separate. Sheryl Crow is now an adoptive mother to son Wyatt Steven, whom she adopted in May 2007.
