A recent report published on CNET News announces that Shanghai has already started producing the much –awaited smartphone, iPhone 5. The news was confirmed by anonymous persons working in the industry in Taiwan.
Apple is expected to launch its new smartphone, iPhone 5, somewhere in September. Analysts doubted that this was the correct date, but the recent rumors about iPhone 5 being produced in Shanghai come to confirm everything. According to sources, the company named Pegatron is in charge of producing the new device. As a matter of fact, production has already started, because Apple wants everything to be ready for this fall’s launch.
This is not the first time that the Taiwan-based company, Pegatron is announced as the future producer of iPhone 5. A similar report was released last week without specifying, however, the name of the manufacturing company.
Anxious customers were able to find out more about the future specifications of the upcoming device. Unlike iPhone 4S, the new iPhone will feature both glass and aluminum on its back. iPhone 4S, on the other hand, has glass on its front and its back.
Nevertheless, this is not the most anticipated characteristic of the new device. Tech-lovers have been more preoccupied about the highly improved display that was incorporated on the phone. Apple informed people that iPhone 5 will be endowed with a larger 4-inch class Retina display that gives a 16:9 aspect ratio. The previous generations of devices had a 3.5-inch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, so the upcoming device promises to be a lot better.
iPhone 5 is not the only electronic device that Apple wants to produce in Shanghai. In fact, Pegatron will also be the second production source for the new iPad. So far, the tablet was manufactured by Foxconn, but Apple plans to make a few changes in the future. Foxconn was initially rumored to be the main producer of iPhone 5, but none of the three companies has released a statement to clarify the situation.
