Google has decided to make a change when it comes to the guidelines of its advertisement. Naturally, what the popular company has chosen to do is to prohibit promotion of sexually themed sites.
With these new changes, Google mostly targets the sites that contain graphic sexual acts, which aim to arouse. Naturally, this includes sex acts, as well as masturbation. Companies who can be in the situation of violating this new policy have already been notified about this change in the policy of the tech giant, to be able to take the adequate measures.
“’Beginning in the coming weeks, we’ll no longer accept ads that promote graphic depictions of sexual acts including, but not limited to, hardcore pornography; graphic sexual acts including sex acts such as masturbation; genital, anal, and oral sexual activity,” the statement said.
Naturally, reps from the adult industry claimed that such businesses were not very happy with the decision that Google recently took. However, insiders claimed that the impact such a decision will have is not clear for now and most likely they will not be able to tell exactly how they will be affected. The fact is that many of these companies use AdWords.
When it comes to Google search results, it surely is safe to say that sex, porn and other similar words are some of the most common ones in Google searches. Free porn, porno, porn and sex actually were the most commonly searched words in the month of May, naturally in Google. These statistics have been revealed by Google AdWords Keyword Planner.
Maybe Google has something in plans to make such a decision. Until new revelations will be made on this subject, it seems that Google thinks that people should not work that much. The co-founder of the giant tech company recently said that the 40-hour work week should actually end. Apparently, people work too much and this is not something desirable. Maybe Google will be able to change that and not only for its employees. Of course, anyone would be happy to work less and have more free time.
