Seul 2011 - Chevrolet Mi-ray Concept

At Seoul Motor Show Chevrolet unveils its Mi-ray Concept , a concept that brings a tribute to the history of sport models.

Most of GM`s describe the new concept as a small car like the Chevrolet Monza SS opened in 1963 and light and powerful like the Chevrolet Corvair Super Spyder in 1962. No matter who resemble (Mi-ray means future in Korean),this is just a "nervous" roadster dominated by “sharp” lines .

Even if the car is a tribute to sports models Chevrolet, Mi-ray conceptI could well prefigure as future Chevrolet roadster considering that more producers are turning their attention to this type of car.

The car is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter gasoline engine, mounted at the rear and is helped by two electric motors with 20 horsepower, which are arranged in the front. The power for the two motors is provided by lithium-ion batteries that are charged by recovery the energy at braking. Electric motors are used strictly to starting away, but also when it running at lower speeds around town.
