Sennheiser RS 175 RF Wireless, a good choice for TV watching

Finding the perfect pair of headphones for watching TV is probably very hard. It’s complicated to give an exact answer to that, but Sennheiser decided to help its customers with the new RS 175 RF.

It is worth mentioning that Sennheiser’s RS 185 was considered a good option on the market, and it costs approximately 280 dollars. Now, it comes with a new model in Sennheiser’s line of 2015 RF headphones that homes a new “class-leading, proprietary wireless link technology”.

The company declared that RS 175 RF delivers interference-free sound and operates on the 2.4GHz band. The entry-level RS 165 model offers 30m range, while the RS 175 is rated as having a whopping 100m range.

Using the Sennheiser RS 175 TF is very comfortable and using it in an open office or in an apartment, the range goes more than 20-30m. However, the range will be affected by a series of factors, such as what the walls are made of and how thick they are.

As for design, this headphone comes with a comfortable closed-back over-ear design that manages to make a good job keeping sound from leaking out. This means that they can even be used while someone is sleeping nearby. Unfortunately, they fit snugly enough, so users may be forced to take some small breaks while wearing them over the course of 2 to 3 hours.

The package consists of two components: the base station that doubles as a charging stand and to store the headphones, and the headphones themselves. However, the base station is very lightweight and it has a pleasant design, even if it doesn’t exude high-end build quality. On the back, it homes a digital optical connection, as well as a 3.5mm analog minijack input, which allows the user to connect it to an audio component or a TV.

The battery life is pretty impressive too, and it can go up to 18 hours of use. This feature will manage to satisfy every type of user, including those who are hard-core watchers. Sennheiser RS 175 TF delivers an accurate sound and demonstrates how far high-end wireless performance has come. These headphones are considered to be a cheaper option for using wireless headphones while watching TV and they are doing a good job.
