Selena Gomez has been quite open lately in talking about her relationship with former boyfriend, Justin Bieber. The star claimed that her romance to Justin has been a learning experience, but the singer also revealed that she has no regrets, although the fact that Justin broke her heart has been widely debated and commented in the media.
Now, Selena wanted to make more revelations. During a recent interview, the beautiful singer talked about the much debated purity ring that she had worn for years. The young singer revealed that she received this ring from her father, when she was only 13.
“I said, ‘Dad, I want a promise ring,'” the singer confessed. “He went to the church and got it blessed. He actually used me as an example for other kids. I’m going to keep my promise to myself, to my family, and to God.”
The singer admitted that she has stopped wearing this ring. “I’m also not embarrassed to say that the ring has come off. I got it when I was 13 and I respect so much what it represented, but it isn’t for everyone,” she went to say. After all, Selena and Justin have been a couple for about seven years. So, the singer sort of admitted that she lost her virginity to the Baby singer.
Selena explained that she fall in love and she didn’t think it was a bad thing. However, the star also said that the high media attention that her relationship always received has never been a great thing for them. Moreover, it seems that even though both Selena and Justin have moved on from their romance and have been linked to other people, the media is the one that cannot overcome their separation.
“It’s difficult for people to separate us. The Internet wants to freeze this moment in time and constantly repeat it,” Selena concluded. Well, it seems that the star is tired of constantly being asked about Justin. And she shared that also through a Twitter post.
“Disappointing seeing interviews I’ve done recently that sound like the exact same interview I did when I was 16,” Selena shared. Well, if Justin has no issues with this, it seems that Selena remains, in a way or another, caught up in the past.
