Sean Young arrested for battery during Oscar Party

Actress Sean Young is known for her inappropriate behavior at the Academy Awards. This year, the “Ace Ventura” star was arrested for battery after allegedly slapping a security officer at the Oscar Party, according to a recent report published by TMZ.

Sean Young didn’t get to celebrate the Academy Awards this year because she was taken by police officers before she even entered the ball room. According to her declarations, the actress was staying near the entrance of the Governors Ball in order to talk and take photos of some of the greatest celebrities of the moment, including Angelina Jolie, Michelle Williams and Sandra Bullock.

Guards asked her to show them her ticket, but Sean Young didn’t have one. As a result, the guards had to ask the actress to leave the Governors Ball because she hadn’t been invited. Young did not obey to security’s request and instead continued to demand to be allowed inside. Guards asked her to leave one more time, so she slapped one of the security men, thus forcing them to call the police.

The actress was immediately handcuffed and taken to the LAPD Hollywood substation. When reporters asked her what had happened, the star told the press that guards got her arrested without doing anything. Young did not mention anything about the physical encounter with the bodyguard.

Sean Young has had drinking problems in the past which caused her to misbehave during important Hollywood events. During the 2008 Director’s Guild Awards, the actress was removed from the room because she repeatedly heckled presenters and winners by yelling “Hurry up with the speech” while they were on stage.

Young used her personal website to explain the situation to fans and people who might know her. She declared that she was staying in front of the Governors Ball waiting to get inside when “the Academy’s lawyer”, as she described the guard, decided that she should be arrested for no reason. She concluded her online statement by saying that the members of the Academy should be ashamed for their behavior.
